See beyond a standard colon exam. CT Colonography (ColoTAC), also known as virtual colonoscopy, uses advanced CT imaging to create detailed views of the colon and rectum. It offers a minimally invasive alternative for evaluating the large intestine and identifying abnormalities that may require further investigation. Why patients choose it: No sedation or endoscope required Minimally invasive and typically quick Detailed imaging of the colon and surrounding abdominal structures Helpful when conventional colonoscopy is incomplete or not suitable Results reviewed with a comprehensive medical report and English-language interpretation If a polyp or suspicious finding is detected: CT Colonography can identify polyps and other abnormalities, but it cannot remove a polyp or perform a biopsy. If a significant finding is detected, a conventional colonoscopy may be recommended for further evaluation, biopsy, or removal.
